Right off main snowmobile access to town and miles of Forest Service trails, our beautiful log home is custom made with unpeeled logs and natural stonework - perfect for your Grand Lake vacation! Situated on the border of Rocky Mountain National Park, the area provides opportunities to observe wild life, ice fish, hike/bike, snowmobile, cross country ski, sled and snowshoe. You'll also be able to enjoy all the amenities of the town like live theater, parks, lakes and shopping. No pets, please. Our sturdy log house is custom made from natural materials, giving it a rustic feel. The house sits on an acre and a half and wildlife can often be seen from the windows or the deck. The main floor has an open plan and is large enough to gather comfortably and there's a wood stove for cold winter evenings. The kitchen is nicely equipped and the house features four bathrooms, radiant in-floor heat, new tuft and needle beds and plenty of space in each room. The main street of town is a 5 minute drive, a 10 minute bike ride or a 20 minute walk from the house, so it's close to activities, yet peaceful and quiet. In the winter you can snowmobile right out the front door and into the National Forest. This is a vacation home so you'll have access to the entire house. We'll be available by phone or text to help if you need anything. We have co-hosts that are staying nearby and neighbors down the hill if you need immediate help. We're right next to Rocky Mountain National Park, the village at Grand Lake and the Grand Lake Golf Course and Nordic Center. Our house is in a quiet mountain neighborhood and you can stroll along the roads surrounding or into the town. Walking, biking and driving your car are the best ways to get to trail heads for hiking, boat launches, the beach and attractions like shopping, restaurants and the theater. The house is about a mile from the village of Grand Lake. Hot Sulphur Springs Resort and Spa is a 30 minute drive from our house. This natural hot mineral springs resort is one of the best in the country. There are two grocery stores and a gas station in the village of Grand Lake. Granby Ranch ski resort is 20 minutes away and there are abundant snowmobiling trails right out the front door at the end of our driveway.
