1.5 miles to HITS. Lovely room with private, kinda groovy bath, overlooking The Beach. This is an efficiency, your own key, frig, microwave and coffee maker. This very comfortable private room with queen bed, ensuite bath is right in the Village, near Krause's Chocolates and Diamond Mills. A guest remarked that it was as close to a hotel experience as you can get on airbnb; and the hotel across the street charges 5-10X as much. The Beach is public, and has great kayaking. One time Pet Fee $40 Cool little town of Saugerties, and The Beach. Bring your kayak or canoe, or enjoy a cookout on the beach. Short drive to Woodstock, about 1/2 hour from Hunter and Windham. I have had new triple glazed windows installed. There is also a new smartlock on the front door. I hope you all have read the reviews about how "sparkling" clean my space(s) are. Just to clarify, I have instituted a 72 hour vacancy of my rooms after they are occupied and vacated...then the cleaners will use alcohol, bleach and their usual cleaning products to make sure ALL surfaces including door handles, light switches, coffee maker, fridge and microwave and EVERYTHING ELSE is wiped down and disinfected. The 72 hour vacancy is to protect my guests as well as my cleaning people. Parking lot is one door away, please park where it indicates "designated overnight parking". Your private room and bath is for your enjoyment. Also enjoy The Beach and the many restaurants, shops and galleries that Saugerties offers. At times, there may be a guest in the other room upstairs, so please be quiet and respectful, and leave the room as you found it. I prefer to give my guests privacy. Saugerties, HITS, Woodstock, The Stockade area of Kingston - first capital of New York State. Great restaurants, hiking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing. Ski at Hunter or Windham. Ulster County Bus in front of the house. Amtrak across the river, Pine Hill Trailways in Kingston, also comes to Saugerties and Woodstock.
