Minimal decor, dedicated heating/cooling, dedicated entrance, ample parking. We only use unscented laundry detergent and cleaning products, as well as provide unscented soap and shampoo. The feel is of being way up in the hills, but Amherst and Northampton are each only 20 minutes away. This little studio is totally separate from the main house with a dedicated shared entrance and heat/AC. It has a full office station with color printer, copier, office supplies, and Wi-Fi. Kitchenette with a combo microwave/convection oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, and tea kettle. Full bath with separate shower stall and tub. While this is a quiet premises in general, noise from either house or studio is almost impossible. The staircase has a door that the guest may close for complete privacy. There is no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property without the written consent of the owner. Any residual odor from a violation of this rule will result in a substantial cleaning fee being assessed. The main property has full-time monitored security/fire and cameras. Ski areas of southern VT are easy day-trips, and Berkshire East is only 35 minutes away. If you like hiking, mountain biking, XC skiing, snow shoeing, or trail running, the Mt. Toby Reservation is literally across the street, no need to drive. For the eco-minded, the whole house is mainly powered by a large solar array, with additional solar hot water. The entire house was remodeled to be hyper energy efficient. Second floor private studio apartment. Entrance is shared. Owners live in the main part of the house but it is separated by several doors. The door on the staircase can be closed for complete privacy. We may cross paths in the driveway or when you enter/exit if we are in the downstairs office. We take our guest’s privacy very seriously. Very rural, but super close to civilization. Great hiking trails right across the road at the Mt. Toby Reservation. The Connecticut River is a 10 minute walk down the road. Great road biking in the area, great single-track mountain biking too. We provide continental style breakfast supplies, coffee, etc. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know. Due to the shared spaces and pets on the property we cannot accept assistance animals at this time. There is a security camera outside the entrance and on the detached garage.
