Winter Cabin Family Getaway: Pine Creek Escape
Knotty Pine Cabin, sister to Porcupine Cabin, has a large entertaining space, perfect for getting everyone around our large dining room table for a group meal. The full kitchen is equipped with all you need to prepare and serve a great dinner. After dinner step outside and enjoy sitting around the fire making smores. In the backyard there is private lawn furniture, a fire ring and grill. Enjoy the large grassy common area for lawn games, relaxing or even a game of flag football. There are three cabins on this two acre property. Each has their own parking, outside area facing away from the other cabins with a fire ring and charcoal grill. There is a large grassy common area to be enjoyed by all guests. If you ever feel like leaving this oasis, directly across the street are 364 acres of wooded pines at White Pines State Park. The Park has several miles of trails, fishing, playground equipment, pavilions for a cookout, full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week and gift shoppe. If you are staying midweek, check out the dinner theatre matinees that are held in the Lodge, every other week. There are several other state parks in the area including Lowden State Park, home of the iconic Blackhawk statue. Check out things to do in the area for a longer list. Porcupine DOES NOT allow pets, if your furry friends are critical to your experience, please consider Knotty Pine or Whispering Pine. I live about a mile from the property and am available if anything is needed. I love the Oregon area and as an outdoor enthusiast, would love to share an information I have about great spots to check out during your stay.
