The Joglo (Javanese style) houses are build out of Teak wood, coming from old Javanese houses, so the 3 houses and our restaurant has this typical Java style, even the walls around the complex are meanly made out of bamboo. That's why we call this place 'Villa Kayu' (Wooden Villa) Villa Kayu Yogyakart is a homestay located in quiet and far from the busy or crowded place. While you wake up in the morning what you hear is birds voice and during the breakfast your eyes will be spoil by green rice padi and tress. The restaurant can be use as share area with other guests. Every room is private and in the restaurant there is a nice lounge in the front with a beautiful rice field view. What is interesting from our Homestay is Village life experience. The 3 houses is located at the edge of the large rice field, the open character of our homestay brings you easily in contact with the local people. 15 minutes from our home stay you can find the popular area bar street and restaurants.In 20 minutes you can visit Parang Tritis beach, Parang Kusumo beach and other beaches in Bantul. This area Kasongan is well known for handy craft and terracota pottery production, it is very interesting to visit and go around to the workshop. We provide bicycle, our guests can rent for $2/ day to see around the city, or just see around the village for free. Please take attention No Smoking in the room.
