We are delighted to have been selected a Top Ten Best AirBnb Destinations by Trip 101. We hope you'll enjoy your beach and redwoods get-away at our 'A Street Cottage,' a 2-bedroom + den, 1-bathroom cottage minutes to northern California's breathtaking coastline. A wood-burning fireplace, plenty of throw pillows and fleecy blankets make for a cozy retreat. We also keep a fan and personal air conditioning mini unit on hand for summer days, that and the ocean breezes keep things comfy Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a vibe that's both modern and cozy, with vintage mid-century pieces paired with colorful original photo art, and eclectic decor. Hardwood floors, beautiful big tree in the backyard, plus a fire pit with adirondack chairs make this your perfect year-round coastal retreat. A groovy little record player with some vintage vinyl and a curated selection of some of our favorite books and games are on hand for you. Wifi is available, and a brand-new smart TV. We have tea and coffee beans + grinder available for you, plus raw sugar, creamers (in the fridge) and sweeteners. Fully stocked kitchen includes lots of spices, olive oil and more for cooking ease. If it's in the kitchen, it's there for you to use. The house, fireplace, backyard and firepit are all yours to enjoy! We have a lovely guest contact, Tabi, if there are issues or an emergency. You'll get her contact details when you book your reservation. You'll also always have access to us as the owners! The A Street Cottage is in Crescent City's old Berryessa neighborhood. About a five-minute walk to the beach. You'll see some funky old family houses that need a coat of paint, and completely restored residential gems. We have a one-car garage with keys available inside the house, and driveaway parking for two cars. A Street is a primary neighborhood access street, you'll have some street noise (but not much). You are walking distance to Pebble Beach, with amazing beach access and lookout points. If you head towards the water and turn south on Pebble Beach drive, you can walk towards Brother Jonathan park and lookout point. Ocean Lodge hotel is great for a drink or snack, and if you walk about 20 minutes (1/2 mile) south you can get to Seaquake Brewery, the Marine Mammal Center and more. There is a cab service in town, plus app-based transportation services. Biking around town is easy and mostly flat. The local airport has a new terminal with daily service from the Bay area (Oakland) on Contour Airlines. In case of winter storms, there are flashlights throughout the house, and a sturdy, over-sized umbrella for rainy walks. The washer and dryer are in the garage, which connects directly to the house. You can also find a grill top in the garage to use with the firepit for open fire grilling.
