The home: You enter from the front porch which has a comfortable seating arrangement with a love seat, coffee table and 2 end chairs. Walk thru the front door to the high ceiling living room which has a firm-cushioned sectional couch which is long and wide enough for one adult to sleep comfortably. To your right is bedroom 1 with a King bed. Continue walking thru the living room to bedroom 2, also with queen bed. Continue thru the home to the kitchen (electric stove w/oven and plenty of cookware.) Off the kitchen there is a doorway that leads to the bathroom via a short hallway. Access is to the entire home, front yard and patio area. The back yard is off limits. Guest car parking pass provided for street parking. Often space right in front of home is available. Worst case you are further down the same block. You will not be circling the neighborhood looking for parking like you would have to in San Francisco :-) This is a a home with all of the charm of Sausalito's old school artist-style living. It is one of the older bungalow style homes very common in Sausalito that make up the uniqueness of our town. From the house walk a half a block to locals Caledonia Street for a stroll to the art studios and antique shops. Take a 5 minute walk to the ferry to access San Francisco. Walk the other direction for 5 minutes and you can be at Sausalito's bayside beach (Schoonmaker Beach) with Kayak and paddle board rentals. The home is situated on very a quite street but only steps away downtown and all of Sausalito's unique coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Walk 2 blocks to reach the boat docks for a sunset stroll. Walk a half a block to locals favorite 'Drivers Market' for groceries or food to go. They also have outdoor seating as do most the the restaurants and bars within walking distance. Playground, basketball courts, and waterfront park are less than 5 min walk away. Bike path 1 block away. Public transportation bus options offering transit to all of Marin County and anywhere in San Francisco are also 1 block away. We are down near the water, not up on the winding steep hills like many of the other Sausalito rentals so biking to/from the house is easy. You can bike into nearby town Mill Valley or choose to stay in Sausalito -- from my house EVERYTHING the town has to offer is within walking distance. The house is 1 block off the water -- not up a winding steep road like many of the other Sausalito rentals so biking to/from the house is easy. If you are looking to explore nearby towns: A 5 min walk leads you to the ferry boat that takes you into to San Francisco. Public transportation bus options offering transit to all of Marin County and anywhere in San Francisco are also within 1 - 2 blocks away.
