This home, an artists sanctuary, is located on a country road with farms in every direction. 12 minutes from the center of Rhinebeck, 8 minutes from the center of Red Hook, 14 minutes to Bard, 18 minutes to Omega, 30 minutes to Marist, Culinary & Vassar College. Minutes from Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck Center for Performing Arts, The Aerodrome, The Rhinebeck Photography and Art Center, Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, Hessel Museum, and Beekman Arms all close to the house. The home has large skylights that flood the living room with natural light. The backyard and barbecue are easily accessible and a great place to dine. There you will find every imaginable style of dining, Gluten Free too! There is French, Thai, Chinese, American, Indian, Barbecue, Pizza, two great Coffee shops, and an Ale House. Great food in Red Hook as well! Great neighborhood for those who like to walk and hike. Visit nearby Ferncliff Forest, Poets Walk and the large 19th and 20th century Grand Estates located on River Road -they are open to the public and offer hiking, touring and biking for everyone. During Winter, the thermostat in the back hallway outside the bathroom can be used to adjust the heat. It is always on. If you are chilly, push the up arrows to raise the heat. Only push the up and down-facing arrows. Please don't change any settings.
