Visitors either prearrange their ground transportation to the ferry dock prior to arrival or they simply hire a taxi or ground transportation service upon arrival. Ultramar offers passenger ferry service to Isla Mujeres 365 days a year with daily continuous departures from Puerto Juarez and the Cancun hotel zone. Very few visitors rent a car; Isla Mujeres is a very small island so visitors rent a golf cart or simply hail a taxi.
