The vast deck overlooking the ocean immediately below will have you feeling as if you're on your own private yacht. The interior is elegant yet friendly. Once you have parked in the private off-road carport, you will make your way down the stairs through the mature self-sustaining tropical garden. Keep your eyes open for our iridescant humming birds. Open the double front doors and come into the open-plan living area with vistas through all the sliding glass doors and windows. Ahh... If you choose to do most of your eating at home there is a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and ample seating for guests to socialize both in the sunken living room, stools at the kitchen counter, or dining area. Sea breezes cool the main living area. All three bedrooms have new mini-split A/C units. (Please switch off A/C when you are enjoying the sea breeze and sound of the waves in your bedroom, or are going out. We pay about 43 cents a kilowatt!) Outdoor spaces: *A wrap-around the upper deck with shaded outdoor dining and BBQ grill easily accessible to the kitchen and dining areas. *Huge pool deck with both shade and sun seating, with six loungers around the pool, and seating on the point- absolutely stunning for star gazing! Indoor spaces: *The large open-plan living area, is your relaxed 'home-from-home' communal area, a living room with TV, LP player with lots of records to enjoy, well stocked library, dining area, and well-stocked open-plan kitchen. The large screened glass doors and window thoughout invite the Caribbean breeze. *There is a guest restroom upon entering the villa. *All bedrooms have whisper quiet A/C, and separate from each other for privacy. We chose to invite you to 'switch off' and relax-there are no TV's in the sleeping quarters. *The 1st sunken bedroom is on the upper level with a spacious en suite bathroom. All bathrooms have showers. *Walk down the unique spiral staircase to the lower hall and out to the private pool. *Both the 2nd and 3rd en-suite bedrooms are on the enormous pool deck level that stretches out as if on the bow of your own private yacht. Mahogany Run, Estate Lovenlund, is a wonderful place to walk or run if you wish to exercise on property. The two guest spaces on the private carport are at your disposal. Please bring up your trash bags to the bin in the carport and I will dispose of them. If you have aluminum cans, glass bottles, and single-use water bottles I will take those for recycling. The owner's quarters on the property below are private with a separate area for her. I have been an active community member on St. Thomas for 27 years, and know the hidden gems of the island. Mahogany Run is a unique and tranquil premier gated community only five minutes drive from beautiful Magens Bay. We are located on the Greater Northside of the island of St. Thomas between the East End, (where you can take a ferry to St. John), Tutu (grocery shopping), and the airport. The perfect location! Pelican Point Villa is ideally situated, facing East to enjoy the Trade Winds, on a secluded cul-de-sac. There are a number of quiet estate roads that are wonderful for keeping fit, and you will enjoy the marvelous down island and ocean vistas whether you are a jogger or a more sedate walker. Most folks like to rent vehicles, and we have two designated off-road carports at your disposal. I suggest you book your car in advance to secure what vehicle works best for your group. Jeeps and larger 'mom wagons' are available, as are smaller vehicles. Other folks prefer to use taxis to get around, and I can assist you with quality driver contacts. Safari taxi rides (hop on hop off) are available in main areas but do not service the Greater Northside where we are located. Please note that only Reef Safe Sunscreen is allowed on our beaches. As areas of the US Mainland, our corals are under attack from Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease. (SCTLD). Please do your part to keep our island pristine and beautiful.
