Our complex unique because it is a resort. Most Maui AirBnB condos are in buildings that were originally designed for permanent residents. Our's on the other hand, was designed as a resort from the beginning. Our beach is truly unique. Every beach in Hawaii is public, however ours is the only one with a private cabana. Furthermore, our beach is tremendously difficult to access if you are not staying at our complex. Black rock is a natural barrier that separates us from the crowds at the hotels, and there is no nearby public parking. The pictures I have posted will show you a typical crowd size at our beach - there isn't one. Our beach also has sand year round. Most oceanfront condos do not have any beach, the ocean comes right up against a sea wall. Even if the pictures show sand, that might have been at a certain time of year. If you are looking at other locations, Make sure you verify with the owner that there is actually a sand beach. Otherwise, you will be fighting crowds and parking trying to go to the beaches that are more easily accessible. One last thing to consider - AC. Maui is hot and humid. Most condos do not have AC at all, or they may advertise AC but it's portable or add-on unit that isn't in every room. We have central AC in every room.
