Charming 2 bed spacious plantation guest house with it's own garden and balcony overlooking acres of countryside. We promise cool country breezes and natural air conditioning. A 15 - 20 minute car journey will see you either on the east or west coast, so just a stones throw from a dip in the ocean. An ample supply of fresh eggs will be available to our guests in addition to whatever fruit or vegetables are in season. Daily maid service included. Cook available if required. Our space is unique due to the plantation setting which will set you back in time. We offer a beautiful and tranquil setting for your holiday rather than the usual beach front places to stay. We will be ready and available to show you the other side of Barbados introducing you to where real Bajans spend their afternoons or weekends! The master room includes a king size bed with en-suite bathroom (shower only) and the second bedroom can be made up as a twin or a double, again this bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom (shower only). There is also a small bathroom on the floor level by the kitchen / laundry area. Laundry room is complete with washer and dryer and plenty of space to hang washing outside in the fresh air also. You will be able to access all areas of the property including the gym, grounds and swimming pool. We have plenty of cut tracks which weave in and out of the surrounding cane fields (approx 100 acres) ... should you feel adventurous. Proprietors reside in the plantation house located next to the cottage so available to answer any questions you may have during your stay. Otherwise, privacy is fully respected. Woodland is situated in the landlocked parish of St George surrounded by countryside. We take advantage of the slightly lower temperature and the lovely breezes. Guest will have total privacy, peace and quiet here at Woodland A hire car is required in Barbados to get around. We can organise this on behalf of our guests. The rate for a toyota yaris car, with air conditioning, is 50 USD a day and the car can be dropped off and picked up from the house. We can also book you a cab from the airport who can wait for you on arrival and see you to Woodland. We are approx 15 minutes from the airport and the cost is 30 USD for the taxi journey. The pool is available for our guests to use and is located off the main tennis lawn to the main property (just a 30 second walk...depending on how fast you walk of course!). Woodland is home to 2 Rhodesian ridge back dogs and a black Russian Terrier puppy (born Jan 2020) who roam the property freely. They are incredibly friendly both with adults and young children. They have been adopted as our pets but also act as a brilliant alert system!
