Description

Shipyard Plantation is one of Hilton Head’s most popular communities, with bike and walking trails, boardwalks leading direct to the beach, tennis courts, and golf courses. Colonnade Club is in the midst of it, and pet-friendly unit 143 reflects the luxury and beauty of its surroundings.

Located on the ground floor, Colonnade Club 143 has both a front porch and a back patio. Both are furnished with rockers and gliders so that you can sit outdoors among the salt-laced ocean breeze, the lush palmetto palms, and the moss-draped oaks. This is relaxation the Lowcountry way!

Plantation-style shuttered doors connect the back patio to the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. Furnished in refined but laid-back style, this space encourages you and your family to spend quality time together. After a day of swimming, biking, or paddleboarding, feel free to stretch out on the sofa to watch a movie on the flat-panel TV with cable, nestle in an armchair with your tablet to surf the web (Colonnade Club 143 has free WiFi), or sprawl out on the rug with the kids for a rousing game of Candyland.

Dining out is a highlight of any Hilton Head vacation; the island has more than 200 restaurants to choose from! Sometimes, though, nothing beats a family meal in. Colonnade Club 143’s thoroughly modern kitchen is sure to spur your culinary creativity. Not only does it offer stainless-steel appliances and a full array of cookware and tableware, but it includes plenty of gleaming granite counter space and elbow room as well. The dining table seats as many as 6 people, in chairs so comfortable you’ll want to linger long after the meal is over. Prefer cooking and dining alfresco? The complex has several gas grills and tables where you can cook and eat in the sunshine; warblers and piping plovers will provide the perfect background music.

Colonnade Club 143 has 2 beautifully furnished bedrooms. Each has its own en-suite bathroom, so you won’t have to line up and wait your turn to take a shower. The spacious master bedroom is a true haven, with a queen-size bed and a flat-panel TV. There’s a desk too, in case you need to catch up on work during your stay (though we sincerely hope that’s not the case!). The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, making it ideal for the kids.

Kids and adults alike will love swimming in Colonnade Club’s large pool and drying off on a poolside chaise afterward. The complex has a luxurious hot tub as well, where you can soothe your weary muscles after a day on the go. And you’ll definitely want to stroll around the lushly landscaped grounds, with or without your 4-legged friend, and admire the flora and the lagoons.

And don’t forget that Colonnade Club 143 is only a few minutes’ walk to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. No need to load up the car with a day’s worth of gear and hunt for parking: You can stroll to and from any time you like. At least once during your stay, make a point of heading out to the beach early so that you can watch the sun rise over the ocean; it’s a sight you’ll long cherish.

When you’re not swimming or beachcombing, playing golf on one of the numerous nearby courses or biking along the island’s miles of spectacular trails, there’s plenty more to do nearby. The Harbour Town waterfront area, with its shops and historic lighthouse, is only a 15-minute drive from Colonnade Club. Equally close is Sea Pines Forest Preserve, home to marshes, wildflowers, a lake, and a 4,000-year-old shell ring that is on the National Register of Historic Places. There are also dolphin- and whale-watching tours, spas, fishing charters… The list goes on.

However you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the elegance and ease of Colonnade Club 143 to recharge and relax. Book your stay today—before someone else beats you to it!
